270,000 sq. ft. total including 140,000 sq. ft. dry storage, 40,000 sq. ft. refrigerated, 51,211 sq. ft. office. Renovation will create public lobby, multi-purpose mezzanine, expanded kitchen, and freezer conversion. |
Frozen Storage Center |
100,000 sq. ft. freezer, 28,000 sq. ft. office and unfinished mezzanine. Renovation will provide offices and instructional space for Serving for Success collaborative with Houston Community College and other partners. |
Truck Center |
15,000 sq. ft. building including bays, wash facility, break room, offices and fueling center |
These organizations receive the majority of the food they distribute from the Houston Food Bank. To distribute more food to needy people and families in our community we have embarked on a $55 million capital campaign to
- Purchase a warehouse and distribution facility that will allow us to distribute 300% more food
- Provide infrastructure and operating assistance to many of our agency partners to help them distribute more food
