2008 Recipe for Hope Luncheon

More details coming soon!

Hope: it's what drives our work at End Hunger Network and what we provide to Houston's hungry. Each fall, we celebrate hope with a luncheon generously underwritten by the Westin Galleria and Westin Oaks. All proceeds from the event benefit End Hunger Network's hunger-relief programs.

2007 Recipe for Hope Luncheon

Our 2007 luncheon celebrated twenty-two years of End Hunger Network's service to the hungry in our community. The luncheon was held October 18, 2007 at the Westin Oaks and was co-chaired by Sondee Hatcher and Kris McGee.

Vinson & Elkins LLP was awarded the prestigious Barbara Falik Humanitarian Award for their on-going support of End Hunger Network, and Bill Boyar was presented with the Mary Barden Keegan Award for Volunteer Service for his long-standing commitment to the mission of ending hunger in the greater Houston area.

The event was emceed by Jan Carson and the keynote speaker was the Honorable Todd Staples, Commissioner, Texas Department of Agriculture.

The 2007 luncheon raised a record $175,000 to help underwrite the cost of providing food to hungry Houstonians.
