We would like to thank you in advance for choosing the Houston Food Bank as your location to complete your Court Appointed Volunteer (CAV) hours. We know that you may have had the option of going somewhere else, but you chose us.

Your time is greatly appreciated. You will be helping contribute to feeding 137,000+ community members a week by either; sorting, packing and cleaning donated food items or helping the agencies the community go too to receive food, load their vehicles with several needed products. As well as helping to keep the face of the Houston Food Bank looking good each and every day. You may go from cleaning the building, to helping Agency Services to bagging rice. The use of your abilities, strength and skills are unlimited here at the Houston Food Bank.

Before a Court Appointed Volunteer (CAV) can start gaining mandated hours you will need to attend a mandatory orientation session at our facility before any court appointed hours can be fulfilled. Please see below for the next scheduled orientation.

Volunteer orientations are every 1st and 2nd Tuesday of each month from 3:30  p.m. – 4:30 p.m.          (Please select a day for orientation)
