What roles are available?
Apple Corps members fulfill many different roles within the Houston Food Bank, and we are certain we can find a suitable role for everyone! Our areas in greatest need of Apple Corps volunteers are:
• Trekker Team
Interact with volunteers! The trekker team performs
volunteer orientation and task training, answers questions
during volunteer shifts, and manages the operation within
volunteer areas. This provides a hands-on experience!
• Welcome Team
Receive volunteers when they arrive for a shift! This
involves greeting volunteers as they enter the building,
facilitating the sign in process, answering volunteer
questions, and escorting volunteers to orientation areas.
• Scheduling Team
Schedule fellow HFB volunteers! This team receives
volunteer shift requests and works behind-the-scenes to
keep HFB volunteerism running smoothly. This team
is great for anyone who enjoys working on computers and
providing logistical support.
